HKU Faculty of Science Introduces Majors in Astronomy & Microbiology with Science Entrance Scholarships
 

For the upcoming 2008/09 academic year, the University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Science will introduce two new majors, Astronomy and Microbiology, under the single admission programme.  Major in Astronomy is introduced for the first time in Hong Kong.  Besides, Science Entrance Scholarships will be set up for distinguished JUPAS applicants admitted to the 6901 Bachelor of Science Programme in September 2008.

The latest initiatives are in line with the Faculty's endeavors to constantly updating its curriculum to reflect the broadening spectrum of science and to align with the 3-3-4 new academic structure of the University.

Details of the scholarships, curriculum and JUPAS interview arrangements will be announced in a press conference.  Members of the press are cordially invited to attend, the details are:
